- This is needed when you receive a check back and need to collect the tax that was sent to the state.
- Make the deposit (cash detail or as needed) and post to the corresponding order record
the amount of the refund PLUS the Use Tax amount due back.
- Write a memo to Marilyn Morrissey and attach a copy of the refund/deposit form.
- In the memo:
- Ask for a credit of the Use Tax amount to be posted to our AL04 fund.
- Ask for the reference to be the voucher # given to the refund/deposit form.
- Keep a copy of the memo with the adjustment.
- File in DEX reports notebook.
