Education Services is a resource center for various types of
instructional and learning materials. It supplements the Rivera Library
collection of education materials. The purpose of Education Services is
to provide materials for students in the UCR School of Education, although
other UCR students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use the collection.
TEXTBOOK COLLECTION
Education Services strives to acquire all textbooks K-12 that are currently
in adoption by the California State Department of Education. These textbooks
fall in all curriculum areas: art, health, mathematics, music, reading/language
arts, science, social science.
NON-BOOK COLLECTION
The non-book collection consists of learning materials in a variety
of formats including multimedia kits, kits for activities instruction,
math manipulatives, study prints, cassettes, videos in all subject areas
and the new technology components for the newly-adopted Social Studies
curriculum and the English Language Arts program.
JUVENILE COLLECTION
This collection consists of award winning books for children and young
adults. The Newbery, Caldecott and Coretta Scott King are only a few of
the award winners we receive each year. There are also autobiographies,

We have books in languages other than English, especially Spanish and French.
There are also books with art ideas, science projects, ideas for bulletin
boards, and many other useful books that are helpful for use in the classroom.
